Celso Salim, is an incredible guitarist who started started playing at age six and discovered the blues when he was 12. He came from Brazil to study music in Los Angeles when he was 17. He’s built a solid fan base releasing five solo albums since 2001 and has toured extensively opening for artists Joe Bonamassa, Canned Heat, Kim Wilson, BB King, and John Hammond. The Celso Salim Band has won five Independent Music Awards and has received rave reviews for their new album, “Mama’s Hometown” on which Dave Fraser plays keyboards.
David Fraser, originally from Sacramento and LA moved to Maui four years ago and has become a well-respected member of our music community. He previously traveled the world performing concerts and festivals sharing the stage with Tower of Power, Johnny Rivers, Glen Campbell, Journey, The Blues Brothers, Huey Lewis, Albert King, Boz Scaggs, Three Dog Night and Wilson Pickett to name a few. His most recent original CD “Reason and Rhyme” features his songwriting, playing and production skills. He’s a regular member of the Ono Grimes Band, Soul Kitchen, Kaina Kountry and the Dorothy Betz Trio. Also performs Wed. mornings at the Coffee Attic playing solo.
