2 guest at a table for $40.00 “Andrew Molina & Friends” The members of this group are Andrew Molina on ukuleles, Willy Wainwright on violin, James Somera on cajon and percussion and Jay Molina on bass and guitar. The group plays a variety of music and covers genres such as Hawaiian, rock, latin, country, jazz and classical. They play cover songs as well as original music. The combination of ukulele and violin makes for a wonderful sound as the instruments blend beautifully together. Andrew Molina is one of Hawaii’s top young ukulele recording and touring artists. He has performed on the east and west coasts of the U.S, Tahiti, the U.K., Scotland, Ireland, Austria and China. He also teaches and conducts ukulele workshops. Willy Wainright is an accomplished classically trained violinist who lived in Nashville for many years and has recorded and toured with many country artists. He also performs here with Gypsy Pacific and has toured Europe. James Somera plays drums, cajon and percussion. He has performed and recorded with many local artists and lived and played in L.A. and New York. He also studied at LAMA (Los Angeles Music Academy.) He’s a very versatile drummer who brings a solid groove and feel to any band. Jay Molina plays bass guitar and guitar for the group. A long time veteran of Hawaii’s music scene he has recorded and performed with many local artists in Maui and Oahu. Originally from Maui Jay has also lived and worked in Honolulu and Los Angeles. He performs regularly in Maui when he’s not touring with Andrew.
